Let's Go to the Park

Let's go to the park
		     for a lark
				let's be merry.

I'll bring a picnic lunch
			  on a hunch
				     la, how jolly.

You ride your bicycle
		      with the bell
				    to the clearing.

Meet me at the north gate
			  half past eight
					  I'll be early.

We'll climb up all the trees,
			      skin our knees
					     and get dirty

We'll chatter like the birds
			     and our words
					   will be happy.

Our lunch of tea and cakes
			   we'll partake
					 in the garden.

An afternoon of mirth
		      and rebirth
				  of the spirit.

At dusk we'll saunter home
			   less alone
				      more contented.

Let's go to the park
		     for a lark
				let's be silly.
