Burn Down the River

Morse

Sometimes I see myself wrapped up in white linen, and I'm
floating on a raft in the stream.
And I'm not alive, but I'm not exactly dead,
and there's someone watching over me

And I burn down the river. Burn down the river slow.
Burn down the river. Burn it down and let me go.
I just want to feel that water pouring over me.
I just want to let that water cover me.

This just might sound like I want to die,
but that's not it, not it at all.
I just want to find myself some peace and rest from
this world that I don't control.

So I'll live by day, and I'll work by night,
and I'll call it all prosperity.
But when I fall, and I burn inside,
I'll let that water cool me down
