The Ziggens have been mostly out of town for a while. It was good to
see them back on their home turf as it were (OK, technically that would
be Huntington Beach, but Long Beach is close enough). They were selling
a new live CD (I think you can get it from the Skunk site), and they
played a nice long set. The crowd seemed a lot more laid back than the
last time I saw the Ziggens at The Blue Cafe. They were appreciative,
but weren't really getting that into it. Even on a tune like I Love
a Parade, which normally gets everybody off their feet and dancing,
there were only two or three of us out there.
I hear Bert's in a new band called Bargain Music with some of the members of the Long Beach Dub All Stars. That's a band I need to see. Enjoy the pictures - |
