Wendie Colter at Genghis Cohen

This was WC concert night. First I saw Wendie Colter play a good but all too short set at Genghis Cohen, and then headed off to the Culver Saloon to catch Walter Clevenger. If Wendy/Walter Carlos had been playing that night, it would have made it uncanny, but it was a great night of music anyway.This was the first of a set of solo shows that Wendie is going to do, and you should be sure to catch one, as she puts on a good show. This was the first time I've gotten to see her do Seventh Wave in concert, and that was real cool. She also had Gabriel Morgan join her for the song Ferris Wheel from her first album. She also played one song with cassette accompaniment, but if They Might Be Giants can do it, then why not Wendie. :-) |
