Tenacious D at the Troubador

The room was packed to the walls for this show. When I first opened the door, I couldn't even get inside until people shuffled around a bit. I managed to wiggle my way through to where I could partially see (lotsa tall people in front of me). I tried the balcony - same story - dense packed. I took a few snaps from distance, but I knew they were going to be underexposed. Finally, some people were nice enough to let me in front of them to take a couple of snaps. That got me close enough to get a couple of good shots of Kyle, but I couldn't get anywhere near Jack, so my shots of him mostly suck.

If Kyle or Jack ever read this, stop playin' all them gigs at Largo and play more at clubs like the Troub, where they'll let me take pictures. :-)

Needless to say, the show was great. Kyle and Jack rocked hard and were up to their usual mayhem - Kyle quit, then rejoined - they burned down "shitty" hall and made themselves two kings, then Kyle made himself the only king - Lee came out for a song - etc. I guess next time I'll make a point to buy my ticket way in advance and show up early to get a closer spot.
