The Negro Problem still had Andy Sycara on drums for this gig, and the the keyboardists by committee for the evening were Rob and Heidi. They played a mostly dark set for their last gig of `99, which was well received by an audience so packed in that I could barely move around (thus the lack of variety in the pictures).
The only new song was a Tom Waits-ish mostly spoken thing called Bijou. I'm not sure if it was an original by TNP or a cover, but I liked it. It was so new that Stew had lyrics handy to remember the start of each verse. Next up for The Negro Problem... Sandwiches and Such.
