Charles and Rob won't be going on tour back east with The Negro Problem, so Andy Sycara and Adam Marsland were playing drums and keys for the last show here in LA as a warmup for the road. Charles sat in on congas, triangle, finger chimes and other percussion. They eliminated the cover song from this set and played 4 songs from the first album (Birdcage, 93 North, Submarine Down, and Buzzing). There were a couple of ex-Negros in the audience, Carolyn Edwards and Gwynne Kahn. And Stew gave Carolyn props for contributing to Sea of Heat before they played it.If any of you east-coast people are reading this, run don't walk to the nearest theater on The Negro Problem's tour. This is a band not to miss. |
