Tammy & The Lords of Misrule at The Gig

This was the first time I've seen Tammy and the Lords of Misrule, and they play catchy pop. So, I'm up there shooting pix and bopping along, and I suddenly realized I was singing along. I knew the song (This Time). Since I'd never seen TLM before, I figured it had to be a cover, but I couldn't figure out who it was a cover of. After the show, I asked first Lisa Mychols and then Tammy, and both of them said they were all originals. When I got home I skimmed over the artists in my CD collection and I couldn't place any of the artists with the song I had heard. Finally, I dug through the compilations, and found it on the Closet Pop Folk CD. Tammy was covering Tammy. And Lisa. As a band called Dreamworld.

In case I haven't said it enough times yet, TLM ruled (or rather, misruled). It was kind of a royal night for music, that started with the Lords and later featured the Kings as well. Enjoy the pictures -
