Now I've seen the Sugarplastic enough times that I'm starting to be familiar with the newer songs that aren't on either of their CDs. I'm starting to identify Sugarplastic concerts with Dire Straits. They don't do a lot of jumping around and posturing on stage, but you know you're in for some technical excellence and some sweeeet (Polly Brown :-) music.Dave hits the skins harder than any other drummer I know, as this is the second gig where I've seen him break a snare. Fortunately, there was a spare around, so they replaced it and graced us with the last two songs of their set. While Dave was in the back hunting for the snare, Ben was noodling around on guitar and it sounded mighty fine. Enjoy the pix - |
