Steve Barton at the El Rey (IPO)

Steve Barton had Lisa Mychols and Robbie Rist backing him again, and you couldn't choose a better backing band. They're skilled, personable, have good stage presence, and gosh darnit, they're just plain cute. Let's just say he made a much better choice for a backing band than rumours say Kyle Vincent did. :-) With Steve's sharp singing & clever songwriting they were right on the mark, and the three of them played a tight set that got the audience going. On their last song Wendie Colter joined them for some background vocals. At that point, the talent quotient that was on stage at the El Rey would be illegal in 7 states and Guam. In California, though, it made for a rocking good ending to the set. Enjoy -
