The House of Blues has some restrictions on what photographers can shoot. Their policy is that you can only shoot the first 3 songs and no flash. Usually, I find the house manager & get him to let me shoot with flash for at least one song, but I couldn't find him at this show, so it was a no-flash shoot. Because of that, most of the images look like a drug-induced hallucination from staring into a fire, but if any band resembles that anyway, it's Quazar & the Bamboozled. :-)Actually, it was cool to see this band have the space to stretch out & cut loose. At most clubs, they look like the "huddled masses" described by the statue of liberty, but the ample House of Blues stage gave all the players room to roam. You'll notice Elizabeth Herndon was a guest musician on Trombone, because Q & the B needed more musicians. I'm sure Q will be loaning a musician or two to WACO real soon. enjoy the pix - |
