The Muffs at The Glass House

There were even more people there for the Muffs show than for Buck,
and Kim & Ronnie & Roy gave `em what they came for. I liked the
show so much that I broke down and bought their latest CD (Alert
Today, Alive Tomorrow) after their set. It rocks. At the
beginning of the show, I started having problems with my external
flash. This had me a bit concerned, as the telephoto don't do much
without it. I shot a few group shots, but I couldn't wriggle
my way through the crowd to get any close shots. Then I decided to
go backstage and shoot from where the artists go on.
When I got to the edge of the stage, the security guy let me down into the security area right in front of the stage, so I got to take a bunch of pictures from right up close. The stage was pretty high, so some of them are not as keen as I'd like but if they hadn't let me down there, I probably wouldn't have gotten any good close shots at all. Thanks again to Lisa Marr for getting me the photo pass that allowed me to get the up close shots. I only wish I had known about that privelege during the Buck set. Enjoy the pix - |
