Listing Ship took a new tack for this show. Matt and Pablo are gone. Michael Whitmore, Ted Attebury, and Heather's sister Shawn are in. This brings Listing ship a more organic, folky sound. Ted's bass playing (& songwriting I later found out) are excellent. Shawn has a pretty voice, which is very similar to Heather's, so they really harmonize well. And of course, Michael Whitmore is the Swiss Army Knife of musicians, lending mostly percussion & vibes, but occasionally pulling out the mandolin. At one point, they had Michael on Mandolin, Heather on "fiddle" and Lyman on guitar & I swear they sounded bluegrass.Current Fave: The Chinese Song (with Bee-bees a close second) enjoy the pictures - |
