The Insect Surfers at Mr. T's Bowl

The Insect Surfers play the best surf instrumental music around. I'd say the Ziggens give them a run for their money, but they aren't purely surf or purely instrumental, both of which the Insect Surfers are. Both of their lead guitarists are excellent, and they play off of each others riffs very well, with the lead flowing back and forth between them frequently. They are also extremely active, particularly Dave Arnson. He's constantly kicking, jumping, posturing, or running around the stage, which makes for a lot of variety of the shots of him. For this show, they were projecting pictures of surfers surfing (and also planets and outer space stuff) on the ceiling of Mr. T's. It was a pretty cool effect, and I tried to capture it a bunch of times, and almost none of those shots came out (see is13.jpg for example of one that kinda came out). Enjoy -
