These guys started off fine. They have a Black Crowesish kind of sound.
About 3 songs in, the lead vocalist got pissed at the microphone stand, so
he knocked it over. Someone came and set it back up, but it wasn't high
enough, so he knocked it over again. Then they futzed with the mike for
a few minutes, and they started playing again. Finally at the end of the
gig, he took the microphone and dropped it on the ground. The bouncer came
over and gave him some flack about trying to mess up the microphone.
The microphone was an SM-58, so it survived, but still it was pretty rude. It's one thing to mess with the equiptment when you're the only band, but seven more bands had to use that mike and that mike stand, so it sucked for him to intentionally do stuff that could mess it up. Clearly, he didn't realize that this was the International Pop Overthrow and instead thought he was at the International Snotty Rock&Roll Overthrow. |
