Wow! How is it that I haven't seen this band before??!?? I've heard of them (when their name was the Tories) and even had them on my list of possible gigs to go check out, but just never seemed to make it. Next time they're on my list I will make it. Oh yes, I will make it. On a night of exceptionally good rock, I thought this was the best set, they flat out knocked your socks on your ass.Apparently, they've recently changed the name to Headset, but everyone including David Bash and the LA Weekly doesn't respect the name change. (hey, do you neophobes still call the Bangles the Bangs? If these guys wanna be called Headset, then "The Tories" should go the way of the Silver Beatles and The Quarrymen :-). Maybe when their new CD comes out with the new name on it, they'll be forced to accept the new name. Enjoy the pix - |
