Walter & the DKs were in fine form. They went for the less chatter, more music
approach and played something like 12 songs in a half hour. Well, maybe
not 12, but the hits just kept on rollin'. I think the only cover they did was
Switchboard Susan, so we got a good sampling of both albums (including
Love You Like a King, much to Bobby Bognar's delight). I think the
only song from their albums that I've never seen them play is I Don't Like
Your Face (So Git). Maybe next time they play the Culver Saloon.
Of all the bands that played Saturday, the Dairy Kings had the highest number of people in the audience up and dancing. At one point Robbie Rist and Lisa Mychols of the Masticators joined them on the stage for a couple of numbers. Roots rock with go-go dancers... only in Hollywood. :-) On the photo front, I had two pictures come out badly underexposed, so I tweaked them to extreme saturation and made `em kinda arty looking.
