Lisa Marr put me on the guest list for this show and they gave me a
special "photo pass" wrist band. I leveraged that into getting
back stage before the show, where I chatted with the bands for a while.
Unfortunately, that almost turned out to be a bad move. The crowd
was pretty dense, so I couldn't get anywhere near the stage for Buck.
Fortunately, I whipped out my trusty telephoto lens (pardon me while I
whip this out :-), and some of the shots (mostly of the individual band
members) came out almost as good as if I was standing pretty close to
the stage.
Buck played an excellent set to a very enthusiastic crowd. In fact it may have been the largest crowd I've seen Buck play to, and they ate it up with a fork and spoon. I guess there aren't many clubs out in Pomona (particularly all ages clubs), so all the kids pack the place. Anyway, the merch table was piled 3 people deep after the show, so I know they dug the set. Enjoy the pix - |
