Viva Las Chicas at Third Thursday

This was the premiere show for Viva Las Chicas, and they couldn't have chosen a better venue. VLC consists of Susan West (of Sparkle*Jets U.K.), Lisa Mychols (of The Masticators), and Tammy Ferranti (of Tammy and the Lords of Misrule). Can you say 3 song writers? Can you say great girl harmonies? I knew you could. With talent like that, how can they miss?

For this gig, they were playing all covers (only one rehearsal so far, so no new songs yet. Maybe by IPO? :-), and they had "Michelle" Simmons filling in on Drums. (you a Chica? you toca los drums? Join Viva Las Chicas & be somebody!). They only had like 4 or 5 songs rehearsed, but the audience demanded an encore (VLC are like the Lays Potato Chips of LA pop bands), so they played an unrehearsed version of Leave My Kitten Alone, which fully rocked. Can't wait to see more of this band!
