Third Grade Teacher at The Scream

The Scream (at The Playroom) is kind of an unusual club, in that there are several bars, and then there is room with the stage. Before Third Grade Teacher's set, the Teacher looked a little worried, as they went on last and there were only 10 or 12 people hanging around in front of the stage while they were setting up. As soon as they started playing, the fans left their bar stools spinning as they dashed back into the hall to see the Teacher, so there was a good sized crowd for their set. 3GT made `em glad they left their drinks for the bartender to finish, cuz they rocked the house. I saw four full sets and the last number of another band, and 3GT unquestionably put on the best set of the night. I love the picture-taking aspect of The Playroom. They have a balcony that wraps halfway around the stage, thus explaining the high-angle shots I took of the group. When you're that far back, the flash doesn't overpower the house lighting (which was very good), so you also get to see the band in the actual colors they were lit in.
