3GT played one of the earlier slots for Friday's LA Music 2000
show at Spaceland, so the crowd was a little sparse. The funny
thing was, usually whatever crowd that's there packs in tight
for the Teacher's set, but for this show they mostly hung back
at the tables and watched. Maybe they were all on quaaludes or
something, or maybe a lot of the crowd are kinda jaded from
having seen them a bunch of times. I dunno. The Teacher played
a good (but too short) set anyway.
Continuing their guest-star on Tongues trend, they had Steve Gregoropoulos join them on guitar. He fit in nicely, playing off of all the band members. Check out 3gt_715 - it looks like he's attacking and the band are trying to repel him. :-) Before the show, Josh said he thought he saw Dusty O'Merriweather outside, and I was practically pissing myself hoping to get a picture of his dumbfounded expression as he watched the Teacher play a song of his pseudo-namesake.
