This is the most densely packed crowd I've seen at Al's in a long time, and the Teacher gave `em what they came for. I think the big draw was partly from having multiple popular bands on the lineup, but they all stayed for 3GT and had a great time. From the opening thrashing of Rageaholic to the triple threat close of Conductor Semiconductor, The Psychedelic One, and Tongues, they served up a satisfying portion of rock n' roll. No big surprises in the set, they stuck mostly to some of their standard gig tunes, with the possible exception of AVUM, which is something of a concert rarity. I left my wide angle lens on for most of the set, and I'm not really happy with the results it gives. I also had trouble figuring out how to use the flash in Al's. Because it was so crowded, I was right on top of the stage for most of the set, so I couldn't use direct flash, but the ceiling's so dark there that bounce works funny. Oh well, a few of them came out nice. Enjoy -
