During the band before 3GT, they were pumping a TON of smoke onto the
stage, so I was figuring that I wouldn't be getting many usable pictures
that night. As it turned out, I was right and wrong. They did pump
more smoke than a presidential candidate, but the lighting was bright
and varied enough, that it made up for the haze somewhat, and gave me
some really nice pictures (Ok, so there's a lot of murky junk too).
I was also able to do some nice posterized shots because of the color
densities.
The Whisky crowd ate up the Teacher's set with a fork and a spoon. This band and this club were made for each other. While some crowds see Sabrina take the stage and belt out "I'M A RAGE-A-HOLIC" and they kinda take a step back and their jaws drop, the Whisky crowd took it right in stride. It was an outstanding set. After Texas Terri's set, I was talking with Dave, and he was saying that usually they're one of the hardest band in the lineup, but with Texas Terri and Betty Blowtorch following them, 3GT's just the rock-n-roll appetizer. :-) Enjoy the pictures - |
